Recruitment of Reviewers
JEEP welcomes applications from qualified reviewers, particularly Ph.D. holders and doctoral candidates. Interested individuals may apply by completing the designated application form and submitting it via email to the editorial office.
JEEP is committed to maintaining high publication standards and strives to publish high-quality research that contributes to scientific advancement. The journal adheres to internationally recognized ethical standards, including the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines, ensuring integrity through a rigorous peer review process.
Reviewers
Peer reviewers for JEEP are expected to be reputable scholars, researchers, innovators, and industry professionals with strong knowledge of current developments in their respective disciplines.
The journal operates through Thematic Committees, composed of reviewers and editors with expertise in related subject areas. Each committee is led by an Associate Editor and is responsible for overseeing the review of manuscripts within its specialization.
Responsibilities of Peer Reviewers
Peer reviewers are expected to:
- Evaluate manuscripts based on JEEP’s publication criteria and recommend their suitability for publication
- Provide objective and unbiased review reports, free from conflicts of interest, within the specified timeline
- Offer constructive feedback to improve the quality of manuscripts
- Advise the Editor-in-Chief on important observations regarding the manuscript
- Maintain strict confidentiality throughout the review process
Deliverables
Reviewers are required to submit a comprehensive review report for each assigned manuscript within the agreed timeframe.
Qualifications and Requirements
Reviewers should:
- Preferably hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field
- Have a strong record of publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Hold or have held an academic or research position in a recognized university or research institution
- Demonstrate experience in manuscript reviewing and editing
- Be committed, reliable, and willing to serve voluntarily
Tenure of Reviewers
Reviewer appointments are open-ended and based on the needs of the journal.
Review Process
Peer Review Model
JEEP adopts a double-blind peer review system, ensuring anonymity between authors and reviewers.
The process includes:
- A minimum of three reviewers assigned per manuscript
- At least two completed reviews required for a decision
- Reviewers selected based on subject expertise (not limited to the reviewer database)
- Review deadlines with reminders sent prior to submission deadlines
- Reviewers are not required to disclose their identity
- Authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other
Reviewer Reports Should Include:
- Comments for authors
- Confidential comments for editors
- Evaluation of individual components of the manuscript
- Overall recommendation on the manuscript quality
Review Outcomes
Based on reviewers’ recommendations, editorial decisions may be:
- Accept as it is
- Accept with minor revisions
- Accept with major revisions
- Reject
